CNC LATHE CHECKLIST

In order to ensure the used CNC lathe arrives at destination in optimum condition. The following checklist is provided for proper preparation:

  • Clean the machine of chips, coolant, and wipe down inside the bed area, and the machine exterior.
  • Put cosmoline, linebacker, lithium oil grease or equivalent protection on all machine surfaces (exposed ways, chuck, tailstock, etc.)
  • Block the turret down with original shipping bracket(s). If shipping brackets are not available, please block with 4x4 block of wood wedged between turret and tailstock, along with a rope.
  • Wrap the CNC control unit in layers of bubble wrap so CRT/Control panel is protected.
  • Box/crate all tooling, manuals, accessories, schematics, leveling pads, and any other loose items where they will not move. Either place on a skid or let trucker strap on truck. Be sure to list exact number of boxes on the bill of lading.
